Is cloth mask really effective?

Question asked on 05/06/20 @ 9:41am

Hi Olubukola, great question!
Masks help to keep infected people from unknowingly spreading the virus. Although wearing masks helps
make public spaces safer for all, other measures such as social distancing and washing hands are still just as crucial.
There is some good, reliable information on the CDC website. Here is the link: www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/diy-cloth-face-coverings.html
I hope this answers your question!

As Hannah said, masks are extremely helpful in slowing the spread of covid-19. The initial pushback was that the extent of people carrying the virus and how it spread was not fully realized. At this time, the CDC recommends the use of face mask

Yes!
CDC also advises the use of simple cloth face coverings to slow the spread of the virus and help people who may have the virus and do not know it from transmitting it to others.  Cloth face coverings fashioned from household items or made at home from common materials at low cost can be used as an additional, voluntary public health measure.

Yes. It depends on the material u are going to use. As it is taught once the material allows the easy passing of air,is not commendable.
