Impact Your Community Grant
Grassroot social impact continues to drive community development in a number of ways, with visible and measurable impacts. As many communities across the world begin to recover from the impact of the pandemic nearly 2 years later, the need for real solutions to the myriad of growing grassroots issues cannot be overemphasized. Real change can be achieved with many passionate impact champions coming together to help one another for the benefit of their communities. Are you driving a grassroots change within your community? Do you have innovative solutions that can drive scalable impact at the grassroots? Do you need a little support to kickstart a world-changing idea? ShareYourself is here to support four different projects with $750 each through this community impact grant. All ideas and projects are welcome. Apply!

In order for your application to qualify for our decision-making process, you must have completed the following requirements:
Priority will be given to new SYS users, for this grant.

  • Signup and complete a profile, attaching a profile photo.
  • Create a project on the SYS platform that is solving a grassroots need.
  • Upload a relevant project photo.
  • Add at least 5 team members to your project by inviting them to ShareYourself.
  • Create project updates on the ShareYourself platform regularly, highlighting project activities or intended activities.
  • Create multiple milestones and tasks by using the task feature on your project profile. This requirement is key to your application.
  • Follow 5 or more other users and projects on ShareYourself.
  • Share the grant to your social media, follow and tag ShareYourself

Who is deciding the grant winners? Back to top
Winners are decided by either specific clients providing the grant or by members of the ShareYourself staff. We select winners during a meeting dedicated to thoroughly reviewing each individual application and project.

How does ShareYourself decide the grant winners? Back to top
If the ShareYourself staff is choosing winners rather than an external client or grant provider we do the following...

Grant winners are chosen based on the following criteria:
  • The project must meet the grant criteria; whether it’s location or theme.
  • The quality of steps taken towards completion of requirements.
  • Active interaction with the ShareYourself platform by both the project creator and their team.
    • Activity is defined as demonstrating progress on the development of the project, which includes:
      • Frequency of logins
      • Opening and closing tasks and milestones
      • Creating detailed, creative and authentic tasks and milestones
      • Sharing updates
  • Active communication with the ShareYourself team regarding the project.
  • Demonstration of enthusiasm and dedication for the project, social/environmental impact, and action the project requires in order to succeed.

We accept projects that are at any stage of completion. In fact, we encourage new projects so that the applicant is able to collaborate and share ideas with the ShareYourself community.

The majority of our grants are awarded to multiple applicants, if you demonstrate that you have a dedication to improving our world - then you will have a higher chance of winning the grant.
