We has been doing more with regards to social media, these which include reaching out to critical stakeholders which include policy and decision maker. Also sharing stories of negative impact of energy procurement with regards girls and women in rural & marginalized community and a call for urgent solution. Going forward, we intend to strengthen our research with regards to efficient and sustainable use of energy for rural community,

Ibrahim Muhammad Shamsuddin [CEO Break-Free From Plastic Initiative]: Passionate Environmentalist and climate activist from Nigeria, Ibrahim is co-founder Break-Free From Plastic Initiative (BFPI), a full member of Sustainable Cosmos Community of Green ThinkerZ Society, India and Polymer Institute of Nigeria (PIN). Social media advocate at African Youth for Sustainable Agriculture (AYOSA). Due to his outstanding passion, leadership and personal commitment to environmental and societal issues, he received Science Education Students Association (SESA) Federal College of education Zaria chapter award of honor in 2018 as well as an award of honor by the Students Chemical Society of Nigeria, Northwest Zone in 2019. He was nominated for the Eleven Eleven Twelve Foundations’ under 40 Green Award in 2019.
He holds Nigerian Certificate in education in Chemistry and Bachelors of Science Education Chemistry from Federal College of education, Zaria and Ahmadu Bello University Zaria respectively. He is a supporter of the goals of the environmental movement, "a political and ethical movement that seeks to improve and protect the quality of the natural environment through changes to environmentally harmful human activities. His training is in Chemistry education with emphasis on Science pedagogy for academic improvement. He has been teaching chemistry for almost a decade. He has published a number of peer reviewed papers in international journals especially in the area of science pedagogy, food insecurity, waste management, and polymer chemistry. His research interest is in the area of environmental management, climate change, science pedagogy, Sustainable polymer chemistry, and novel innovations in polymer science and technology.
He previously served as the Nigeria Country Coordinator, Break-Free from Plastic Initiative, Communication officer of Arewa Youth Trust Foundation as well onetime regional secretary Students Chemical Society of Nigeria, Northwest Zone. A onetime national vice president administration, Students Chemical Society of Nigeria, Northwest Zone. A onetime president Students Chemical Society of Nigeria, Federal College of education Zaria Chapter.
He was an alumnus of Care About Climates’ Online Youth Exchange 4.0 (OYE 4.0) and 10Billiong Environmental Leadership Accelerator Program due to the impact his organization which creates awareness at grassroots and nurtures young people to be environmentally responsible and conscious. He was a national finalist of the UNDP/Federal Ministry of Environment’s Youth Climate Incubation Hub. He is Passionate about the environment, advocate of the #SDGs with emphasis on climate action, clean and affordable energy, life on land and life below water.
