To mark Menstrual hygiene day 2022. We at SAF_WGS will be distributing free sanitary pads to 3000 women and girls in underserved communities and training them on how to make eco-friendly reusable pads. We will be launching a campaign to make government provide free sanitary pads to underserved women
The rural teenage girls are basically affected by the Covid-19 pandemic following the school closure and this has resulted into increased teenage pregnancies , unemployment and increased financial crisis which agitates for life skills among girls of teenage age.
Food insecurity,hunger, malnutrition, stunting in children and poverty are major problems facing women and children in Bundibugyo district and the sustainable food program will increase the quality and quantity of food available to the rural families and change the consumption patterns.
Women and girls are mostly vulnerable to climate change. Women's Resilience project will strengthen the economic power of young women/girls in rural Obollo Orie by training them in baking and soap making skills. This will create economic pathway and climate change adaptive capacity for them.
